Trying to find an appealing restaurant in Napa Valley

After several hours on this board and perusing numerous online menus, I am DEPRESSED! Cliche after cliche; lack of provenance, no matter how high the price or "exalted" the kitchen; little if any visible concern with either sustainability or organics--just for starters.

The sole menu that is appealing to my particular taste is old, reliable Bistro Jeanty. That's where I celebrated my last birthday and I guess that will be where we celebrate our forthcoming wedding anniversary.

I'm constitutionally unable to suspend my principles just to have dinner, and it's really disheartening to read menu after menu that could be in any tourist area anywhere rather than in the greater SFBA.

I did not find a single reference to local lamb or organic and/or grass-fed beef, few adjectives (other than menuese) indicating local or organic modifying vegetables and fruit, no comments anywhere of the kind one sees fairly often in SF or Berkeley on provenance and commitment to sustainable practices.

I did find one "organic salmon"--which is baloney--and numerous misspellings, which always give me pause on menus: Is the kitchen as inattentive?

If anyone knows of a place I missed in my search that might meet such standards and is open on a Monday or Tuesday, please be good enough to recommend it.
