I must admit I love Trader Joe's. They don't do everything, but what they do, they generally do better than any other place for less money. Some of their things I really like: the frozen chicken pot stickers (boil in a covered pan, with 1/2" H2O, sliced napa cabbage for like 3 minutes, serve with soy sauce, seame oil and lemon juice), the frozen cocktail meatballs are great in any Italian style application, the lox, the TJ chunk parm., the no preservative sausages - esp. the Niman Ranch beef hot dogs (great in split pea soup), 69 cent# pasta, and a final admission I'm not proud of (if my mother hadn't insisted I never would have tried it) frozen tilapia. I never thought it would feel so good - to be able to go to my freezer and pull out fish that is not ruined by freezing. Fried with crumbs it's great!
Now I wnt to expand my repetoire - What are your TJ favorites?
