When I visit my father we often dine at a remote countryside restaurant - the owner is a family friend, the food is excellent, the prices steep.
I see they have been awarded a star for 2012 - can this in any way be a good thing for me? Selfish question I know - but I have to think of these things!
The place is always booked out, so they don't need extra business - what changes might I expect to see there? I've eaten at starred restaurants previously, but never both 'before' and 'after' the star.
(I am in the UK).
