fast ,cheap, and, yes, good maki fix

Not like I usually crave or would recommend pre-made sushi from a store, but a friend tipped me off to an exception. Pemberton Market in Cambridge carries O-Bento sushi from Belmont and the veggie maki combo (can't bring myself to get pre-made fish maki)is quite good for a quick fix. For $4.95 you get 4 fat roll pcs and about 8 skinny roll pcs. The rice is on the sweet side but good, the avocado is ripe and creamy, the veggies are fresh (read not dried out like sad salad bar fixings), and some veggies are soaked in sweet mirin. Even the soy sauce packet is the all-natural Yamamasa brand. If you're just craving the flavors but don't have time for a sushi bar (and want to skip the tip), it's a good deal.
