I'm in the Union Square area this week and was hoping to get into one of those 18.50 lunches. Farallon has the special until 8/3. However, they normally offer a three course prix fixe lunch for 1.00 more.

The three courses on the day I was there were
- lobster and corn bisque
- salmon on a pea puree with some sort of fancy beans. I forget the name but they looked and tasted like grey lima beans.
- berry pavlova

Nice enough lunch with friendly service but nothing very special. The soup tasted of neither lobster or corn. All I could think was that the restaurant made good use of lobster shells and corn cobs. Same thing with the pea puree. Pretty green color. No taste.
