My husband and I are getting away for two days fo the first time since our child was born. So needless to say we are trying to pack as much adult food experience into the trip as possible. We are staying at the Hotel Nelligan and eating at restaurant Verses Friday night as part of the package. After agonizing about Saturday's dinner choice I finally threw myself on the mercy of the hotel staff. (I was seriously considering Torque, but I was getting mixed information on it. I also got overwhelmed by the choices suggested by the board.) They suggested Europea on rue de la Montagne and made reservations for me. (Torque was too "name brand" according to them.)
So, the web site looks good, but I can't find many reviews for Europea. Anyone been? I'm still wondering if I'm going to kick myself about not going ot Torque. I mean, I don't care if the place is crawling with tourists, I'm a tourist, I just want really good food. (I think my husband's request was we "spend some of the college fund money" on the meal.) The recent review hear sounded wonderful. And the NY Times just had good things to say.
I was going to wing it slightly for lunch (I got a few ideas) and we were looking for a wonderfully relaxed brunch place to send us off on Sunday if you have any suggestions.
To get an idea of food we like, we live in Boston and my absolute favorite place in Chez Henri. ( Of course that might be the drinks that are really my fav!) Thanks in advance!
