I took everyone's advice and kept failing at getting a hard boiled egg that didn't have green on the yolk. So I bought some eggs over the weekend, and tried last night. I put them in cold water, 3 large eggs in a small revere saucepan, covered with water, brought to boil. Took off the burner, put the lid on and let sit for 11 minutes. Then I put them under the faucet and ran cold water on them just long enough to get the hot water out. The only thing I did different was that I added a couple cups of crushed ice (after turning off the faucet) and they are perfect! A bit underdone, which is exactly like I like them.
