Heading to Philly tonight with my brother for a weekend of food, wine and fun. I've been in the business most of my life but wanted to make sure I had the etiquette right for bringing wine.
In NC I typically tip $20 per bottle I bring but that's to restaurants that have liquor licenses. Do the PA restaurant charge corkage?
Just wanting to do the right thing. Will probably drop the wine off prior to arrival. As and aside we have reservations Friday night at Melograno (BYO) and then Abe Fisher for Saturday and WH Mulherin for brunch on Sunday. Will fit in other classics most of Saturday afternoon and hope to have a drink and Apps early at Zahev before a late dinner.
