Recently while dining out, I ordered a bowl of ramen. When it was presented at the table, the server finished it by cracking a whole egg on the side. I fully expected it to be a raw egg, but it was actually a soft boiled egg that slid neatly out of the cracked shell into the bowl.
Does anyone know how you cook an egg that way? Is it steamed or via sous vide? I'm absolutely fascinated and want to replicate it.
