El Gaucho - Seattle

Awhile back on this board, I read a posting about El Gaucho. Since I've enjoyed my experience there, and the person posting said the meat was not up to par, the potatoes microwaved, the vegetables not fresh...I contacted El Gaucho. Here is their response. We had the baseball cut steaks with rouqefort (delicious), the caesar salad made tableside (very good), and two different types of potatoes (could be better). Since we've recommended this restaurant to others---I did want to check about the quality of the beef served there after reading the other posting. My only complaint is a table for two is confining. Ask for a booth!

yes, we certainly do serve Prime Beef; our product is 28-Day Dry-Aged
Certified Angus Prime Beef. . . the best that can be found on the market. We
do not microwave our potatoes--we bake them; our fish, game meats, poultry,
etc are all fresh. We can assure you all our items are the freshest we can
find, and prepared fresh daily on site.
