We finally tried it last night. The place was empty at 7PM on a Saturday....hmmm..??? scary. Very clean - -no music that I remember - too many servers running around with nothing to do. I even saw a chef milling around the front door - strange since our food took forever. This place tries hard but just doesn't get it! They served wheat and white soft rolls (like from Bj's) in the bread basket!! And they call themselves a "trattoria"??!! I asked why they didn't have REAL Italian bread or Tuscan bread. The chef nicely did send some over later - a basket with some Italian bread - warmed - wonder where he got it??? The waitress said he made it - I doubt it.
My husband's Seafood Risotto was great as was the polenta appetizer. I ordered the antipasto as a meal and was SO shocked when it arrived - I couldn't even respond. It was a huge mound of ingredients DRENCHED in blasamic vinigar - I mean DRENCHED - all brown - disgusting!! It was soggy and parts of it were unrecognizable - Was that turkey or provolone?
I was too disgusted to even complain as I had already complained about the bread.
The hostess was a scary sight - a fifty something dressed like an 18 year old punk rocker who kept coming to our table asking questions.
Anyway - save your money and skip this place. Bring back Nanina's!!!
Ecco - if you're reading this....What's going on in your kitchen??!!! You have a nice looking place but the whole experience was too scary for me!
