Eating New England

Just wanted to recommend a fabulous book for all who have not seen it yet: "Eating New England: A Food Lover's Guide to Eating Locally, From the Traditional to the Unexpected" by Juliette Rogers and Barbara Radcliffe Rogers, The Countryman Press, 2002.

It's a great guide to farm stands, markets and co-ops, sources of artisinal foods, bakeries, wineries, breweries, including restaurants that focus on local foods, places that offer tours and preserved historic farms. Broken down by region within all of the New England states, I'm finding it a great inspiration to plan a series of "tasting" road trips through different areas of New England during late summer and through the fall harvest.
