Far East Cafe. Sacramento

Visiting relatives in Sacramento and they took us to a neighborhood restaurant, Far East Cafe. We had a pretty good dinner - the $28.95 wo choy dinner plus a few dishes that we added. My uncle really wanted us to try the soy sauce chicken - it was a very nice version - perfectly cooked. the soy was well seasoned - star anise, cinnamon, ginger, etc I would definitely have this dish again. The rest of the meal was good - nothing spectacular but well executed. The frying was greaseless - we had fried oysters. One unusual dish that is not always offered but can be ordered - a duck with mashed taro - in a patty form that is fried - crispy on the outside. ratio of taro is a bit high but for me a little taro goes a long way. Anyways, a good neighborhood restaurant.
