sorry for regurgitating this age old conundrum but my birthday is coming up and i want to go somewhere really creative and amazing -- i want the sublime experience and i will shell out the ducats for ducasse but only for something out-of-body -- not "mmmm, that was good"...i've been hearning things about trio in chicago -- the chef there trained with keller in french laundry and with ferrand adria in el bulli -- anyone been there? worth the trek?
and on a random note -- i've never been to aquavit -- is it any good?
