Had another spectacular dinner at Drago at Princeton and Wilshire in Santa Monica. Burrata was really rich and wonderful. Others tried the Pumpkin Tortellini, Beet and Goat Cheese Salad, and Polenta with Wild Mushrooms. Entrees were Piedmontese Rib Eye, served on the bone...perfect. Branzino, cooked whole and boned at the table was excellent. Dessert of Chocolate Tart with Caramelized Banannas and Caramel Iced Cream was heavenly. Had an excellent ($38.00) bottle of a Red Blend from Italy. 4 people, some shared courses, $230.00 out the door. This has got to be one of the best fine dining restaurants in LA. Service was also excellent, waiter was knowledgable about food and wine. Very helpful. It is not as hard to get reservation as I thought. Friday reservation for Saturday dinner. I go there about 4 times a year but I am going to make a point of doing it more often. As good as this meal was, the Wild Game Menu when it is offered is even better. I think I will call to get on the mailing list.
