thanks to Dommy!'s post the other day i tried the alton brown stovetop mac and cheese, and boy was it good! really simple, too. i did brown it under the broiler for a few minutes to add crust, and it was delicious!
i grew up with the kraft mac and cheese with the little can of cheese sauce, and i've been craving a substitute with "real" cheese that's still creamy. this really fit the bill. and it's also gorgeous cold the next day! husband loved it too.
