Dinner at the SeeHund German Pub

My wife and I had dinner Tuesday night at the SeeHund Pub on Bank Street in New London.

The SeeHund has the feeling of an old fashioned city tavern. It was moderately busy in the bar and lounge when we arrived.
The menu was fairly broad and had both German and American dishes; and a large list of bottled and on-tap beers.

We tried their dark stout on draft and it was excellent.
We started with some excellent latkas which were accompanied by fire Roasted Apples and sour cream. Very good.

My wife had chicken schnitzel with lettuce, tomato, and onion on a ciabatta roll. The sandwich was accompanied by some excellent house – cut fries.

I had the brat platter, which was four grilled German sausages accompanied by sauerkraut, red cabbage, and a nice assortment of mustards. The platter had a bratwurst, a beer brat, a frankfurter, and a knockwurst. Also very good.

The portions were very large and, although there were several desserts on the menu, neither of us could eat another thing.

The food was great and very reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Definitely deserving of another visit.
