I am in town with my husband on business. We are only in town for 3 nights but the first 2 nights are fully booked with business dinners and things. So we only have tonight free for 1 dinner, and tomorrow morning free for 1 breakfast.
We are staying at the ACE hotel and would like to walk to both restaurants (breakfast and dinner) but we don't mind a good 30 minute walk (yesterday I walked from ACE to the MET which ended up being a little too far.....)
We are from Montreal so we already have alot of high-end gastro-pub and bistro type fare. So we are really looking for more casual places with good wine, and fun and interesting food. We are big fans of all kinds of cuisines (indian, seafood, sushi, mexican, chinese, greek, lebanese, etc....) but, being from Montreal, we would like to stay away from French.
We both love sitting at the bar and enjoy chit-chatting with the staff, so a fun ambience and charismatic staff is cool.
Any recommendations would be great appreciated!
