I saw the post from a few weeks ago asking if anyone had been. I went there a few months back. I believe they had just opened at that time.

I went looking for Sydnee de Mar & walked up to the front door. It was locked & looked dark, but then we found a side entrance (or maybe it was vice versa). WE walked in to find a bar with 3 or 4 guys sitting around with a small TV on. The room was a dark red. The waiter, dressed very nicely came out to take our order. We asked for lunch but He said they didn't do lunch -- yet.

So we ordered breakfast. I had a BLT & homefries -- delicious cooked in olive oil. I remember there was a choice of types of bacon, but it turned out they only had turkey bacon. It was good! And this was with winter tomatoes. My boyfriend cannot remember what he had but we both remember he enjoyed it. We were happy with our meals & surroundings. A telling sign - The ladies room was also very pretty & clean.

The cook came out & asked how we liked everything.
I am sure if those 2 are still running things, then the place would be a treat for the next chowhound to check out. I wonder how their menu is coming along.
