Delicious Dim Sum at Capital Seafood

liu | Jan 15, 2006 02:21 PM

This past Saturday morning we experienced very delicious dim sum at Capital Seafood Restaurant at 755 West Garvey Avenue in Monterey Park (626) 282-3318. Each item was very fresh and hot, and at noon they even served almond tea that we have had only at Hong Kong Palace; we have never seen it elsewhere.
The service was amazingly attentive and gracious. Perhaps -- since we were the only non-Asian patrons at the time -- they might have thought that we were food critics????? although we certainly didn't act the part! Throughout our morning, several servers checked on us and the manager even came over to see how we were doing. Additionally, the cart servers were extremely solicitous and when they couldn't understand our English, they would find someone who could help.
I think we have been to most other dim sum restaurants in the city. This was our second trip to Capital and we look forward to going back!
