so went to boneyard again, and had the venison special and let me just say one of the best composed meat dishes i've ever had in a restaurant. bordering on excellent though very costly and i don't think the foie grast or onion-pear tart are necessary. just the venison, truffled mashed potatotoes, and the pan drippings and sauce already makes it all delicious.
dessert was dulce le leche tiramisu, i'm not really a caramel fan, but tried it anyway, and it was ok, not good, i don't know why they have to gussie up an old standard but tiramisu tastes better without the caramel. oh, well, should have ordered the banana split, which is pretty good or the jack n coke dessert.
boneyard bistro is in a way two restaurants working at the same time in conjunction, with the ribs/bbq side and the bistro side. i think so far the bistro side wins out.
