BF and I are going to Daniel with my (foodie) parents on Friday night. Though we're trying out a bunch of great places, Daniel will (I think/hope) be THE big event of the trip. So, I'm wondering - what should we order?
I'm not sure what my parents have in mind, but I assume they'll want to do either the 6 or the 8 course tasting. However, my mother doesn't eat fish at all, and BF doesn't eat much fish and is a little picky about other random ingredients (spinach, mustard and liver being among his top NO WAY foods). How accomodating can they be in terms of food preferences when it comes to the tasting menus? Should I call early this week and let them know about the fish issue? Is the 8 course worth it, or will it just be TOO much food (not that I usually worry about being overfed!)?
If the picky eaters prove to be too much for the staff, we'll just do the 3 course menu. I looked over the new spring menu online, and everything looks amazing to me - I have no idea how I'll choose. Has anyone had it? What's not to be missed?
