Dallas Steaks

First off let me explain. My parents are relatively simple people, they are not what I would ever call a "chowhound" by any means. They live in Amarillo and are accustomed to the old steak house that is a little run down, hole in the wall, place to get a steak, potato, and a salad. Nothing real fancy.

Anyways, they are coming down for a visit this weekend and I emailed my mother links to Bob's, Pappas, Trulucks, Del Frisco's, and Al Biernats for something different.

Her reply was "you know that your father and I are not picky, those places look nice but are probably nicer than what we require." She then states "Is there anything like Cattle Baron (Lubbock & Ruidoso) down there?

I know of none. So I ask you, chowhounds, do you know of any places off the beaten path that might have a *good* steak on Friday night. Cost is really not a determination, where as I would say anything within 40 minutes of Downtown Dallas would be acceptable.

Thanks in advance.
