We are retiring our old, el cheapo rice cooker, and I'm in the market for a new one. I know Zojirushi gets lots of rave reviews, but I'm curious about this Cuisinart model:
There are a handful of reviews on Amazon. What I am curious about is the steaming function. If you have one, can you use the cooker just for steaming (without cooking rice)? How did it turn out and how long does the process take?
If the Cuisinart isn't as great as it is billed; which Zojirushi rice cooker model would you recommend? I mostly cook brown rice and would like a porridge (jook) function; 5.5 cup is large enough for me.
