I made a mistake. I am an emeals member and so I don't have to do any meal planning. I just add the recipes to my grocery list and shop. Then the day of, I cook. I'm not working, so it I don't pay much attention to instruction until the morning of.
So today I'm making what I thought was a sweet and sour pork stir-fry. The grocery list called for 1 lb boneless shoulder pork roast, but who can buy only a pound? I usually substitute that with cubed boneless center cut loin chops. I like the result and it works well for us and the price is right.
However, I see now that this is supposed to be in the slow cooker. Oops. Had I known that I would have gotten something else. What's done is done. My question to you now is, will it make it tough? I would think so. What should I do?
I suppose I could leave them whole and cook it in the slow cooker. What do you think? Should I cube or leave them whole or do something else? I don't want chewy meat.
I'm not sure if the link will work, but I'm sending it anyway, just in case.
Thanks in advance to all you wonderful helpful folks!
