Anyone for Crunchy Pound Cake?

This is one of those epic screw ups that is just too good to keep to yourself no matter how embarrassing...

I was trying a new recipe that I found on this site for Amaretto Pound Cake. I mixed together the butter and sugar in my Kitchen Aid. The next step was to add four eggs, one at a time. Instead of cracking the eggs into a bowl and dropping them in one at a time (like I would normally do), I decided to just crack them over the mixer instead. First problem. But as I'm trying to pull the second egg apart, it pops open unexpectedly and the whole egg lands on the counter next to the mixer. HOWEVER, half of the shell flies out of my hand and flops right into the spinning mixer.
