Crockett Recap

Krys | May 9, 200501:49 AM

There are just five restaurants in town:

FOUR CORNERS PIZZA (Good yeasty pizza with crispy bottom, generous toppings)

VALONA CAFÉ (Weekend breakfast, Italian Deli. Sunday jazz/poetry)

THE DEAD FISH (outstanding patio. Mussels, omelets, sandwiches. Skip the fish)

ARBTOL CAFE ($4 roast beef subs, $3 all other subs, coffee, soft drinks)

THE NANTUCKET (skip it. May be up for sale or recently sold. Quality suffers)

A sixth restaurant, Junior’s Beat, just closed until further notice.

Arbtol Café was too small for a post. In business for over 15 years, they just sell six sandwiches. Nothing special, but the quality is good and the chopped canned jalapeños on sandwiches are a nice touch. There’s coffee, coffee drinks like lattes, sodas, juices, candies and chips. Really nice owner who was going to make a pot of coffee just for me at closing. I just bought a nice cappuccino so he wouldn’t waste a pot. Good value for the money and tasty sandwiches.
