I'm going out tonight with my boyfriend for a much-needed romantic-ish dinner after a long week. We were thinking about craftbar but couldn't get a reservation past 6:30. I'm looking for a place that is cozy and has atmosphere -- but not too white tableclothish -- that either has an amazing selection of appetizers and smaller entrees or invites plate-sharing. I'm thinking of a place where the food "attitude" is sort of like Otto but with a very different environment (not a large, noisy room).
Some places I've been thinking of are: wildflower, prune, tasting room. My boyfriend is a more conservative eater than me, so there has to be more to the menu than foie gras and sweetbreads, but I would like the overall feel to be surprising.
Thanks in advance--I know this is really specific.
