Okay, so now I have found a good sugar cookie recipe (the Williams Sonoma Valentine Cookies), but what about icing? I did not really care for the icing I made. It was actually too buttery. It was just butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla. I want something thick and smooth but with a little bit of texture to it. I especially like when the frosting sort of hardens and you get that nice little soft crunch when you bite into it. Any suggestions?
