Thank you to the person who recommended Cooke's Corner in response to my earlier posting! The service is amateur, but well-meaning, but the food was really delicious. I had a veal stew special that I really enjoyed, and my friends had scallop risotto that they finished very quickly. In addition, it was a great place to sit and talk for a while. And they have the craziest prix fixe--$19 for three decent courses. I will take advantage of that next time. Although even ordering the specials it was not particularly expensive. Thanks again.
