New cookbook by Sally Schneider: opinions?

Katerina | Nov 20, 200101:18 PM

I've been wondering about the new, annoyingly-titled "A New Way to Cook", by Sally Schneider. Normally I wouldn't think of picking up anything that calls itself "A New Anything" (even worse are titles of the "Blah-Blah-Blah: Redefining the [American] Whatever" persuasion.) BUT, I have read articles by Schneider in the past: they were usually interesting, and moreover, her recipes work. I've tried at least four different ones, gleaned from Gourmet magazine mostly, and they were all very good, easy, and original. The one I remember best are paper-thin sort-of-Asian-style cookies flavored with citrus zests... mmmmm, I have to make them soon again. Anyway, before I shell out some $30 I thought I'd ask you, the Hounds. What do you all think?
