Columbus, OH trip report

Had a great time! Ohio State beat Michigan, which would make anything even sweeter....
Friday lunch - Katzinger's Deli, German Village. GREAT stuff, always has been. Husband had the Reuben, I had the grilled tuna salad/cheddar on rye. Great bread, add really fresh pickles, bag of salt & vinegar chips and a beer and the weekend is off to a great start.
Friday dinner - City Barbeque take-out at a friend's house. They swear by it, but it isn't great by any stretch. Mild sauce, tasteless coleslaw, freezer fries. Saturday breakfast - Game day! - we meet a friend at the North Market, at Braddocks. Great big, good breakfast, and a tasty bloody mary. Saturday lunch - dogs at the stadium. not so hot...but at least we were in the stadium watching the game! The hot chocolate helps. Saturday dinner - a campus classic, Donatos pizza, thin crust pepperoni. This is nostalgia food, from my undergrad days, I still love it. Not a bad 'za, a few pitchers, soak up the atmosphere. Down to the short north for a few beers at Mac's - Guinness on tap. Off to bed, as happy as a clam. Not a magnificent foodie trip, but served my purposes well.
