I have a well-loved coffee ritual on the weekends, and I'm curious to hear about other folks tips, tricks, quirks and obsession. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
I know it's blasphemy to many, but 'm particularly fond of milky, sweet coffee. I coarsely grind top quality (typically latin american; my favorite brand is Stumptown) beans and french press my coffee. I go a bit heavy on the beans, resulting in a rich, strong coffee (4:30 steep, usually). I am lucky enough to have access to jersey cow raw milk, so I pour my coffee over a healthy splash of that. The choice between raw sugar or stevia depends on my need to feel virtuous.
Can anyone improve on my technique? What coffee ritual are you in love with?
