Cocoa and queries on a Persian place, Kilburn, London

An Albanian bakery and cafe that is probably worth a second look.

Slice of caramel cake had excellent texture, wispy in a brioche-like manner, light and very moist. Extremely similar in texture to a good baba au rhum (e.g. the late Eastside Inn). Frosting was basic cream, and a thin dense and sticky jelly-like gloss on the top for a tiny bit of caramel. Dotted with chopped peanuts on the side. They seem to serve savoury stuff as well, including their version of goulash. Anyone tried their boreks?

Separately, there's a place called Persian Restaurant on the east side of Kilburn High Road, the signage only on their green awning. A modest list of grilled items, various kebabs etc. Anyone tried?
