CITRINE

NYCFoodie | Oct 29, 2003 03:21 PM

I went to this restaurant twice in one week and had equally bad service both times. The food is good, for the most part -- try the strawberry grouper on coconut-jasmine rice. The appetizers were decent (but steer clear of the carpaccio). However, it is the service that compels me to write this message. AWFUL SERVICE. The waiters couldn't have been more disinterested. The icing on the cake: I pointed out that they charged me a higher corkage fee than their hostess reported to me over the telephone; the manager disappeared with the bill and came back WITHOUT HAVING ADJUSTED THE BILL. POOR POOR POOR SERVICE. The food's way too overpriced for this kind of service.
