The quest of this Icelandic friend, besides playing in this concert, is to get her hands on the best Cinnamon Buns NYC has to offer, and bring them back to the Iceland where hungry stomachs await. My first suggestion is Balthazar, but then I realize that it's their sticky buns(with pecans) that I'm thinking of. I don't even know if they make Cinnamon buns, or if Sticky Buns are the same as Cinnamon Buns. My reason for liking their Sticky Buns is for the un-soggy dough, but I'm aware that for some, soft squishy dough is part of the charm.....
Will you all chime in with your opinions of your favorites, and the type of dough the buns are made of?
I need the info before this Sunday as the Cinnamon bun carrier will be on a plane back to Iceland Monday. Thanks all!
