Chowhound.com Is Now on HTTPS

The Chowhound Team | Feb 7, 201709:57 AM

As of last week, you may have noticed that our website is now 'Secure': https has been enabled on chowhound.com. This means that all communications between your browser and our website are now encrypted.

Security and privacy are two highly important values that we take very seriously with our community of users:
- With the site on https, we prevent malicious third parties from inserting code into our site, such as installing malware,
- Your privacy is also protected with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) not able track what pages you are browsing.

Note that your existing links & bookmarks to chowhound pages will not be affected by this https update: they will simply redirect you to the secure version of that same page.

We hope you like it as much as we do. If you find any issue, please share it in the comments of this post. Your feedback is always appreciated.

Thanks,

The Chowhound team
