How do you make Chinese bakery breads/desserts?

Hi everyone,

I've been looking online for recipes for Chinese bakery breads and desserts, but I haven't come up with much more than char siu pao (which isn't the type of bun I was looking for). I'm looking for recipes for those yummy, sweet buns and flaky danishes that they have in Chinese bakeries. Actually... they might be HK or Taiwanese bakeries.

I've grown particularly fond of the baked goods at the Kheng Shee bakery next to the 99 Ranch in El Cerrito, but being a Berkeley student, it's hard to go there on a regular basis. In any case, I want to expand my baking repetiore but I can't find any recipes.

Can anybody provide some or maybe point me towards a book that may contain such recipes? Heck, I'd consider becoming apprenticed to a bakery to get those yummy recipes, but maybe I should wait until after I get my degree. :) Thanks in advance!
