Best Chinese Take-Out S. of 14th St. E. side

Where's the best quality/value Chinese take-out. I'm referring to places like Hong Kong on Bleecker near Broadway and LAM's on 3d Ave. near E 10th -w/ entrees in the $5.00ish and under range (AKA - Ghetto Chinese - sans bullet proof glass and rotisserie). I am liking LAM's but wonder are there some others. I like the Chicken and veggies at LAM's, and ask for it a little spicy. The vegetables are bright, plentiful, and fresh (& tasty). I didn't really like the take-out at Mee's on 12th or 13th & 1st - though the stay-in looks better. Tina's is not in the cheap enough range, or really anything special. When you can't get to Chinatown, where to go? I know there really is a dearth, but maybe I left someplace notable out.

Please advise.

Best wishes,
