Restaurants & Bars 10

chinatown restos

yyuumm | Nov 23, 2005 10:31 AM

i'm looking for a nice chinese resto in chinatown downtown (spadina/dundas). i want to take my family out but while they like chinese food generally, they've only really been exposed to the mandarin-type chinese foods (the chain restaurant) or slightly better, like your usual chinese restaurants you'd find in the various little towns in canada.
so could anyone suggest a resto that is accessible for them (i.e. menus in english, food that is not too unusual etc.) but is also actually vaguely authentic and very tasty? something in the midrange price range would be good.
also, while i've eaten a bit more chinese food than them, i'm certainly no expert, so could you guys maybe suggest a few dishes to order? if there were 4 of us, what would you order?

THANKS in advance :)
