I must admit I give credit to the folks that dont want to take the time to make the infusions and oils that she uses in her recipes but I do know that when I take the time to make them and use them, that I get a flavor kick that is unbelievable in any other oriental (or for that matter any ethnic food) that is above and beyond anything else I have experienced. I made her cold chicken salad with peanuts, sesame, etc tonite and found it was unbelievably delicious. (As are anything else I have made from this book). I would suggest that instead of complaining how you cant take the time to make the pre-cursors that are needed for her good food, that you just order take out from some generic chinese place that is not going to give you what Barbara has to offer and stop bi*ching about having to do a little work to get a good result. After all, good food takes a bit of work, and TIME! So if you are on a 20 min schedule, do as I suggest and shut the F**K up about having to put out some effort!!!!
