Just wanted to express thanks again for the El Segundo find of Chef Hannes on Main St. Had a great Ribeye there the other night, charred beautifully on the outside for $22. Add the Grilled Salmon on Arugula for $12(!) and we were so happy. Started with a nice 'n rich Lobster Bisque for $10. If you're in the mood for a little, unpretentious neighborhood find this definitely fits the bill. Also, if you're coming from the Santa Monica area know that you can come through Playa and skip the airport traffic.

Had perfect Carnitas last night at Lares in Santa Monica. They're usually very good and often my favorite. Last night: succulant, tender and crispy on the outside with a nice clump of fresh cilantro- the best I've ever had.
