Mrs. Play has been craving chap chae ever since we had a delicious version at Chosun Galbi a couple of months ago.
Internet research, on Chowhound and elsewhere, has revealed very few restaurant recommendations, although I have found lots of recipes and an infinite number of romanized spellings (job chae, jap cheye, jobb-chae, chop chai, japp-chay, etc.). Also some unverified insinuations that the same or similar dish exists in other cuisines (Chinese tong hoon, Filipino pancit sotanghon, Vietnamese bun tao), but it's the Korean style we are seeking right now.
Where else can we find superb renditions of these delectable noodles?
