I stopped by this store this past weekend to try some of their wares. I picked up a ring of their house-made kielbasa, a tray of farmer's cheese-and-potato pierogi, and vegetarian (actually vegan) galumpki (or stuffed cabbages). The latter two are produced by Pierogi Queen in Enfield, CT.
The kielbasa, while not the best I've ever had, was certainly fine. It was a smaller grain kielbasa with not as much of a pronounced garlic flavor as I would have liked, but still tasty nonetheless.
The pierogies (sorry studda) were among the best I've had - slightly thick dough, tasty filling, really good.
The vegan stuffed cabbages were a nice touch, with a mushroom and rice filling that does a decent job of emulating the real dish.
It's a nice little place but is essentially a warehouse with a tiny office up front. The kielbasa, a dozen pierogies, and four huge stuffed cabbages came to $14. The proprietor, Paul, couldn't have been nicer.
