My wife and I used to come to NYC pretty regularly before kids came along. We've also dropped the kids off with Grandma and Grandpa while we spend a few nights in the city. We've had some pretty amazing meals over the years (Del Posto, Marea, Contra, Craft, Toro...)
This time, the kids (7-year-old twin boys) are coming with us. We're hoping to keep it simple and hit some tasty, but casual restaurants as we visit the city. We're staying in Chelsea mid-week, so walking distance is preferable but we will be using public transit to get around as well. Here is my current list of categories that I'm hoping to fill:
American
Breakfast
Italian
Pizza
Burgers
Mexican/Spanish (I've been wanting to hit Empellon)
Snacks and Fun (we'll probably hit Little Mercado and Eataly, we also love donuts)
Thanks for your input!
