I tried the version at Lucien a couple weeks ago, which was a savory and luscious but pleasantly modest portion. Then I had it at Montmartre last night, and felt their rendition didn't really deserve the title. No sausage, a little too modest of a portion, too much breadcrumb, and endive salad on the side that was overpowered by the smokiness of the lardons.

I've been meaning to try Benoit when I have someone who'll share with me (my wife's not a cassoulet enthusiast) since I understand it's a substantial affair, and I've seen the prior posts, but if anyone has any other recommendations please let me know before spring really hits!
