Casa Mono - excellent meal

Nehna | Feb 21, 2006 08:29 AM

Had a truly great meal at Casa Mono last night, 4 of us plus a child.

I will say it's quite a snug fit in there for a party of 5! But wasn't really uncomfortable.

Pan con Tomate
Jamon a Mano x2
Pumpkin/Goat Cheese Croquetas
Duck Egg w/ Mojama
Lamb Shank w/ white beans
Skirt steak w/ onion marmelade
Brussel sprouts a la plancha
Patatas Bravas
Cockle dish with chorizo and some sort of thing strands of pasta, I think it was

All of the dishes were outstanding. The cockle dish--which I think perhaps is maybe new as I cant find it online (they had two cockle dishes last night)--was absolutely incredible and I think I will dream about it until I go back, it was that good. Spicy, little chunks of chorizo, cockles in their shells, and these strange mini strands that we finally assumed were a pasta.

Other stand outs were the skirt steak, the duck egg, the lamb shank, and of course the ham!

Looking forward to returning.
