I can't stand it any more - I just had to let this out. What is up with candied nuts in salads? I have no problem with something sweet-tart in a salad - pears, persimmon slices, dried cranberries, etc. - but every candied walnut or pecan I've ever eaten in a salad has been nauseatingly sugary sweet, fit only for dessert if that.
Okay, thanks for letting me vent. To everybody out there who likes them, please know I'm not attacking you personally - I just don't get it!
