Cambodian at Floating Rock

It's been way too long since I've been here. A group of us just had a wonderful lunch. We ordered many old favorites, and a few I haven't had before. Started off with their excellent fish cakes - lots of flavor with lemongrass and cilantro, and served with the vinegary cucumber salad. Next up was one of my favorites - Tiger's Tears - a flavorful beef salad with lots of fresh herbs and vegetables with a crunchy texture contributed by ground toasted rice. I remember this being a lot spicier, but there were plenty of condiments and red chili sauce on the table to bring up the heat. Other highlights were the crispy head-on shrimp served with a salt and pepper dipping sauce, the ground chili pork, seafood chow foon, longbean salad with prahok, and catfish soup with jackfruit, eggplant, and coconut milk. My least favorite was probably the green mango salad - while good, I expected a little more crispness and heat. Still, as always, a great meal at a family-run spot with friendly service.
