I've had a set of Calphalon Anodized cookware for about 20 years. It's served me well. My husband cleaned one of the saucepans the other day, as usual with a little Barkeeper's friend. When he finished and rinsed it out, the inside bottom had been stripped down to the interior part of the pan, with the light black covering completely gone and silver showing on the interior pan bottom.
I figure it's time to treat myself to new cookware, so I'll be replacing this. Here's the question: Is this old pan safe for use? I'll probably donate it to one of our local groups who have people who really need cookware, but I don't want to donate something that could cause harm. Thanks.
